Why is Glyphosate a Problem, Part 2?
The previous blog post was an introduction to the dangers of Glyphosate, a synthetic chemical herbicide. Glyphosate does NOT exist naturally as it was created in a laboratory. The mode of action of Glyphosate is a chain of issues started by an enzyme blocking a pathway that builds protein for plants to survive. It is a non-selective herbicide meaning it kills everything it touches.
While big chemical insists it is safe, there have been hundreds of thousands of lawsuits against the manufacturer that has been ordered to pay billions of dollars to victims. Doesn't sound too safe!
Scientists did a remarkable (scary?) thing and created Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) whereby they went into certain crops and took out some DNA and added a Glyphosate gene. What? Science Fiction at it's best! So millions of Americans unknowingly eat foods laced with Glyphosate every single day. Cancers, neurological issues, tremors, seizures, agitation, headaches, and the list goes on of what Glyphosate will cause in humans. That is a terrible toll for the public that is NOT advised on what is in the food supply.
But there is more and this is the real danger. Glyphosate kills micro-organisms in the gut and in soil which with repeated exposure is a massive health crisis.
In the news lately is the importance of gut health. The gut is referred to as the second brain. A healthy gut means health and longevity. An unhealthy gut means Alzheimers's, Dementia, food allergies, auto-immune issues, and many other health concerns. A healthy gut is healthy on the cellular level so that nutrients can be absorbed, toxins flushed out, and adequate hydration provided throughout the body as the intestinal lining absorbs water. A healthy gut is comprised of billions of bacteria, which are microscopic soldiers doing the job of digestion and absorption. Glyphosate harms gut bacteria.

When crops grow in the soil, it is a similar situation to gut health. Underground as the roots interact with soil, there is exchange of moisture and nutrients to supply necessary ingredients for plants to grow. There are billions of microscopic organisms in soil that facilitate these exchanges for healthy growth. If there are not adequate microscopic bacteria doing their job, plants are not healthy and fail to produce.
Repeated applications of Glyphosate kill these beneficial bacteria just like frequent ingestion of Glyphosate kills gut bacteria. If soil has been sprayed with Glyphosate over and over, the soil become worthless and cannot grow crops. Soil health is as important to our food supply as gut health is to the ability for humans to thrive. Too much Glyphosate slowly poisons people and the Earth.
This is why natural products are superior. A Natural product exists in Nature - it is not from a laboratory. The ecosystems of Earth - including an individual's intestinal tract AND a field for growing wheat - can handle natural products, but NOT synthetic chemicals.
ALWAYS choose Natural over synthetic. Your life and health depend on it!
